Auditions for potential new members are held regularly each August and during the year as needed to fill special concert requirements. Our next audition opportunity will be in August 2023. To inquire about mid-season audition opportunities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to Expect
Be prepared to sing a song of your choice. Your song does not need to be memorized. If you need a pianist, please bring an extra copy of the music. You may sing without a pianist if you like. Our Music Director will work with you to determine which voice part is best for you. We encourage singers from a variety of musical backgrounds and experience levels to audition. You are expected to have a way to learn your music outside of rehearsal time. The chorus performs a variety of musical styles and difficulty levels. We rehearse once a week on Monday nights and one Thursday night per quarter at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church. Rehearsals are from 7:00 – 9:30 PM. Sectional rehearsals are common, but usually only once per quarter. We rehearse from September to June and take the summer off.
We typically sing three sets of two concerts each: December, March, and June. Concert attire is black, but not uniform. When you join the choir, you are expected to sing for an entire season. If you need an exception to this, you should talk to your section leader and the conductor.
Fill out this form to let us know you are interested, and we will contact you to schedule an appointment during our next auditions.
